Introduction: As the core of health systems, primary healthcare information systems play a fundamental role in monitoring population health and providing essential data for higher levels of care. The Integrated Health System (SIB), recognized as Iran's most significant information system at this level, necessitates continuous evaluation from the users' perspective. This study aimed to assess the SIB system from the viewpoint of users in health centers across Hormozgan province, Iran.
Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted in 2022, enrolling 196 SIB system users selected through simple random sampling from health houses and centers in Hormozgan province. Data were collected using a researcher-developed questionnaire encompassing four domains: user-friendliness, ease of learning, data management, and organizational support. Content validity was confirmed by a panel of experts, and reliability was established with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.84. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics via SPSS software.
Results: The overall mean satisfaction score was 3.76 out of 5, indicating a favorable level. Ease of learning received the highest satisfaction score (4.05), while organizational support received the lowest (3.55). No significant associations were observed between demographic variables and satisfaction. However, the number of training hours received demonstrated a statistically significant positive correlation with user satisfaction (p = 0.032).
Conclusion: Although user satisfaction with the SIB system is generally favorable, weaknesses in organizational support may challenge its long-term efficiency. Implementing targeted training programs, strengthening technical infrastructure, and engaging users in decision-making processes can effectively enhance satisfaction and ensure the sustainable success of system.
