In this study, nurses' attitude towards cloud computing technology is examined in order to determine the benefits, barriers and infrastructure required for implementation. Methods: This descriptive-analytic study was done in Farabi Hospital in 2017. The research population included nurses working in this hospital and sampling method was census (310 nurses). After completing questionnaires and entering data, SPSS-19 software used for data analyzed and Pearson and ANOVA used for hypothesistests. Results: In this study 228 individual (181 women and 47 men) participated. The most important (+0.46/±4) advantage of using cloud computing in hospitals was easy transfer and better access to medical records. Web-based hospital software (95/5/54/3) is the most important prerequisite to use this technology. Also, the main (68/3±83/3) barrier was the inability to interoperability in clinical information systems. Conclusion: Given the benefits of cloud computing technology, such as access to information and optimal communication between health care organizations, appropriate policy making can solve barriers, such as lack of appropriate data networks in hospitals, lack of interoperability of hospital information systems and the internet problems to implement this technology in the future.}, Keywords = {Health Information Technology, Nurses, Cloud Computing, nursing Informatics.}, volume = {4}, Number = {2}, pages = {1-7}, publisher = {Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences}, url = {http://jmis.hums.ac.ir/article-1-168-en.html}, eprint = {http://jmis.hums.ac.ir/article-1-168-en.pdf}, journal = {Journal of Modern Medical Information Sciences}, issn = {2476-6720}, eissn = {2383-3696}, year = {2018} } @article{ author = {Meraji, Marziyhe and safaei, Fatemeh and shojaee, shadi and mousavipor, reyhaneh and Mahmoodian, Sanaz Sadat}, title = {Health information technology students’ satisfaction for their field of study and career prospect}, abstract ={Aim: Universities are sources of changes in society in different fields. The purpose of this study was to determine Health Information Technology students' satisfaction of their job prospects at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this cross-sectional research, all students of health information technology at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences student were studied through census method during 2016-2017. The data gathered using a questionnaire with three parts about student's awareness, satisfaction of choosing their field of study and attitude toward career prospect in 37 questions. Descriptive and analytical statistics in Spss 16 software were used. Results: The satisfaction of Health Information Technology students with their fields of study and their attitude were lower than the average. Student`s attitudes towards the career prospect was more than the average. Conclusion: To improve students' satisfaction, applicants for entry into higher education are advised in an appropriate manner so that their choices are informed, interested, and willing, and they will not be discouraged or disappointed upon entering the university. This study aims to evaluate the performance of medical record department based on European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 2018. The population consisted of all managers (five managers) and employees of medical record departments (54 staffs) in teaching hospitals of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. Due to the limited research population, sampling was not done and the sample size was considered equal to the size of the population. Data were collected by a questionnaire consisting of 50 questions. Data were analyzed with the SPSS software using descriptive statistics. Results: The medical record departments acquired score of 411.9 of 1000 (58.81%), of which empowerments and results factor achieved 232.37 and 179.57, respectively. Among enabler factors, the highest score (51.76%) belonged to partnership and resources, and the lowest belonged to processes (18.08%). Among results factors, the highest score related to employee’s (47.93%) and the lowest (43.16%) related to customer results. Conclusion: The performance of the medical records departments was lower than the average. Determining the minimum set of data ensures that all the necessary data are collected in an integrated manner, and plays a role in the integrity of the data. The aim of this study was to determine the compatibility of data elements in laboratory information system of Hormozgan Pathology Centers with Minimum Data Set (MDS) in Demographic Cancer Registration Program (PBCR). Methods: This descriptive study is a cross-sectional LIS research where data were compared in lab with the minimum data set. The data collection tool was a checklist containing 30 items in 3 sections including the general profile of the pathology lab, the pathology reports structure, and the pathological information system. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics of SPSS20. Results: All elements of patient identity information, information provider and data related to the acceptance date of the sample and type of sample, information elements of pathologic diagnosis, and the reporting date were available in all pathology software. All pathology LIS had a section on the history of the report, but only 44% of them had a dedicated section for diagnostic codes that users did not have information about or its use. Patients with these diseases have always experienced a high rate of death, disability and poor quality of life. Telemedicine is a promising approach to improving the care of these individuals. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and effectiveness of telemedicine in the management and monitoring of heart disease. Information sources or data:  This study is a systematize review in which all papers related to the effectiveness and efficiency of telemedicine in the management and monitoring of heart disease   between March 2011 and July 2017 were extracted from ProQuest, Sciencedirect, PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases with keywords. Selection methods for study: After screening the titles and abstracts of all the papers, finally 21 studies were selected and analyzed. For screening articles, the criteria for entry included the publication of articles in English, the relevance of articles to the efficacy and effectiveness of telemedicine in the management and monitoring of heart disease and access to full text articles. Combine content and results: Telemedicine has had an effective and unique effect on the timely diagnosis of heart disease, facilitating access for patients to professionals, reducing the length of stay and allocating resources efficiently, and reducing costs and improving quality of life. The findings also indicate that developed countries have been ahead in using telemedicine to manage and monitor heart disease ever more than other countries.
