Given The necessity and their importance, the aim of this study is an evaluation of search interfaces in evidence-based medicine databases. Methods: This study was an applied research, Carried through survey method. The study population was 12 evidence-based medicine databases including evidence-based medicine subscription databases of electronic library website of Tehran University of medical sciences and other evidence-based medicine databases. The validity of the checklist was confirmed by 3 experts of medical library and information sciences. The collected data were analyzed after being entered into the statistical software Excel using descriptive statistics. Results: The findings showed that the search components using Boolean operators and sets (69%), phrase searching (50%), and truncation and stemming (50%) have the most points, and other components received low scores. moreover, totally, all the databases received points less than 50 percent, and the databases were in an undesirable status. Conclusion: Despite the necessity of the existence of proper search interfaces in the evidence-based medicine databases, compliance with elements of the proper search interface was very low. The present research aimed to investigate students’ attitude towards telemedicine services in Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine faculties. Methods: In the present descriptive, cross-sectional research, 306 students affiliated with the Nursing, Midwifery and Para-medicine faculties of Hormozgan University of medical sciences were selected randomly through a stratified sampling method in 2015. A questionnaire comprised of two sections was used one including demographic information and the other investigating the extent to which technology was used in 5 domains. The first part of the questionnaire explored subjects’ demographic information while the second section looked into the extent to which the subjects used IT. Cronbach’s alpha was used to test the reliability of the test which was estimated to be 80%. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of experts. The data collected in each group were analyzed through parametric t-test, ANOVA as well as non-parametric Man-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis. Chi-squared test was used as well for qualitative variables along with descriptive statistics via SPSS ver.19.0. Findings: A statistically significant correlation was found between sex and contextual factors as well as the beneficiaries’ factors (p=.026) and also between faculty and application domain (p=.08). The population consist of 632 books in field of Knowledge and Information Science published during 2002-2011. The books were searched in National Library website based on: subject, publication year, translator, author, and publisher. To analyze data, descriptive statistics was used by Excel software. Results: Most books were published in 2011, while most translated books were published in 2006. Original books published more than translated books. Rahim Alijani was identified as the most productive author and Hamid Mohseni as the most productive translator. Nashre Ketabdar was known as the most active publisher, and the majority of books focused on” information and communication technology”. Since people’s awareness affects their attitude and in turn positively affects the prevention of breast cancer and its timely prognosis, it helps to cut down on the mortality rate. This latter issue motivated the present study which aimed to investigate the awareness and practice of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine students concerning breast cancer at Bandar Abbas University. Methods: As a cross-sectional research, the present study was conducted among university students in the second semester of 2015-16. The sample was selected through a randomized method and finally included 253 subjects. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire whose reliability and validity were already established in some other research. SPSS ver19.0 was used for the statistical analysis of the data. Results: The majority of subjects (61%) had an average score and only a few (2.3%) achieved a good score. No statistically significant correlation was found between the family background of breast cancer and the awareness score. Half of the subjects (51%) were aware of the breast self-test method but only 37% did it regularly every month. 41.6% visited a doctor annually for a test. Negligence comprised the highest percentage of refraining from the self-test. Feeling no pain (29.2%) was the most common cause of not visiting a doctor. The internet played a key role among the information sources. Conclusion: Raising awareness contributes to positive behavior and affects the performance of self-test and visiting a doctor. The present study aimed to determining the level of physicians’ familiarity with Mobile Health Services and investigating the factors affecting that Methodology: A cross-sectional study was carried out in Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in southeast of Iran in 2016. The statistical population includes all physicians working in five University Teaching Hospitals (n=150). A validated questionnaire, prepared based on the variables of Technology Acceptance Model 2 and models, was used for data collection. The reliability of the given questionnaire was confirmed with the correlation coefficient of 0.8. Moreover, SmartPLS 3.2 and SPSS software were used to the data analyzing. Results: Most of the respondents (112, or 74.4%) were female and 84 of them (56%) were less than 30 years old. All the physician used Smartphones. The score of perceived usefulness, behavioral intention, perceived enjoyment, and subjective norm, perceived ease of use, image, volunteering and objective usability constructs were higher than average baseline, representing the acceptance of mobile phone by them. The relations of all constructs with one another towards the attitudinal and behavioral objectives of the mobile health services acceptance were significant (P< 0.05). However, demonstrability construct had not any correlation with perceived usefulness (P>0.05). Conclusion: The most significant factors affecting the mobile phone acceptance by the physicians were identified.
